OUR FIRST CAMP COLLAR SHIRT
For the whole of 2022, any free time Becky had would be spent sewing in our studio. She got obsessed making camp collar shirts for family and friends, but then her waiting list got a little too long. So, we decided to make a small batch of shirts using this beautiful indigo sashiko fabric, incase you wanted one too. Hopefully (if you like them) this will be the start of more to come.
Sashiko is a centuries-old Japanese stitching technique used to strengthen, repair and improve clothing to increase the life span of the garment. Over time, it became more than just a way to mend and reinforce older garments. The repair become a design element in itself. A beautiful scar. Masters of the craft would create intricate geometric designs that are works of textile art. It’s a craft we’ve appreciated for years and we’re very excited to share it with you.
KEEP IT LIGHT AND BREEZY
When summer really kicks in and the temperature rises, the short sleeve camp collar shirt is our go to. It helps elevate your style when you need something comfortable, lightweight, but still want to keep things interesting.
THE CALIFORNIA OF EUROPE
Our jackets are hand made in a factory nestled away on a mountain side in Guimarães, Portugal. It’s a maker town. The factory is a small family run business that has been going for the last 30 years, specialising in jackets. They have a track record for supporting the underdogs. We’re proud to have our jackets made by them.
