The Wool Overcoat is an investment piece and a coat for life, so we want it to fit just right.
Our coats have been designed with a relaxed fit to allow layering underneath. If you prefer a closer fit than is shown in the photos for Batch No.25, then we'd recommend sizing down.
Men's Jacket Measurement Chart
How to find the right size:
1. The measurements are taken on the garment laid flat from seam to seam, not on the body.
2. The body length is the highest point that the body meets the collar, to the base of the garment.
3. The sleeve is measured from where the sleeve meets the collar seam, to the base of the cuff, following the outside curve of the sleeve.
4. The chest is measured from armpit to armpit, laid flat, not the circumference.

Batch No.19 vs Batch No.25
Our first iteration of the Harris Tweed overcoat was very popular but we had feedback that the men's overcoat was too bulky in the upper arm, making it feel top heavy. For Batch No.25 we have redesigned the men's sleeves to improve the fit. Our new overcoat is also 2cm longer than the original. If you like how it fits in the photos, we'd recommend taking your usual size. If you prefer a slim fit and don't like to layer much underneath then you can also size down.

Wilton Car Coat vs Batch No.25
The men's Wilton Car coat has a similar fit to the wool overcoat, but this one is slightly longer. Both are designed to fit layers underneath. If you prefer a slimmer fit, or are between two sizes and don't like a roomy fit, we recommend sizing down.

Our Recycled Cashmere & Wool chore coat is a slimmer and shorter jacket length, compared to our long and roomier wool overcoat. The overcoat has more layering room underneath and is a naturally much longer style.
