Your coat being finished

Every jacket is being meticulously checked, pressed and finished from the inside - out. Once the production was complete, Mario had his factory deep cleaned on Saturday morning before packing begun, to make sure no dust got into his boxes. We're always in awe of Mario's attention to detail, and hope you'll agree once you see your jacket in the flesh. Press play below to watch the final video from the factory.

Your coat being sewn

With every piece cut, the team in the factory have started sewing this week. Watch the video below to see the latest from Northern Portugal where your Cashmere & Wool Chore jacket is being made.

Your coat being cut

This week our factory returned, well rested, after their summer break. The first job on their to-do list? Cutting your coat. Shortly after our pre-order window for our Wool Cashmere Chore Coats, we let Mario know how many of each fit, colour and size to make, and he got to work playing tetris - aka working out how to lay out every pattern piece to make the best use of our fabric, with minimum offcuts and wastage. With each piece cut, sewing soon begins.

Your fabric being made

Recycled cashmere, blended with recycled wool woven by the incredible Luigi Lanificio Zanieri. This Italian mill have become experts in making luxurious recycled fabrics over the last 70 years.

Shortly after you placed your pre-order for your Cashmere & Wool Chore Coat, our mill got straight to work on making your fabric. Press play on the video below to watch some highlights from the fabric making process that is still underway.

Making your recycled cashmere & wool fabric takes around 12 weeks, from preparing the yarns to dying, spinning, weaving, rolling and quality checking.

The fabric will arrive in the factory in late August, while the team are taking their well earned summer break, so they will return, rested and ready to start sewing your jacket. Sit tight until then, when we'll be in touch with weekly videos from the factory showing your jacket as it's made for you.
